hey dude- yeah - Run the Race - it was this past weekend and it was amazing! Our church has an annual youth conference, and each year there is a theme. 2 years ago it was "Overboard", last year was "Fight the Good fight" and this year was "run the race". We had the gym at church transformed into a "track" with a real track running along the walls, clouds hanging from the ceiling, astro turf... it was amazing! We had the nationally known Marcus "Goodie" Goodloe come speak (he is also our pastor's best friend), the popular christian comedian, Daren Streblow, Pastor Billy's brothers worship team lead us in worship (maybe you've heard of Keil Zepernick (he's not his brother, just on the team), the bassist, he is 6'11 and used to play for the harlem globetrotters and dallas mavericks???)and then we had "Ryan Daniel and the Spirit of David" do a concert which was AMAZING!!! He is actually our worship pastor, but also a hip-hop artist and he had amazing break dancers with him and it was just SO much fun!!! Yeah, it was a great weekend...
